It has probably been a month since I added a post to this Blog. I can say that business is picking up and sports have begun and that is why my post's are so intermittent but really I just forget.

I hope to get my act together soon and post on a regular basis though. So if you have stopped by here to read what I have to say please let me know by posting something of your own.

GOOD AFTERNOON EVERYONE
Today is the nicest day so far but unfortunately we are headed for some chillier and rainy weather til Tuesday I think.

Hope everyone got some planting in. I plan to soon, I'm always a little late and my landscaping suffers for it.

Remember though, curb appeal means alot when selling your home. So get out there and spruce things up.

$8,000 Tax Credit expires April 30th

The official first day of spring begins at 1pm tomorrow.

Spring is the busiest time of year for almost every business, and Real Estate is no exception. More Homeowners list their homes for sale now rather than any other time of year. Home buyers start scouring the newspapers and internet ads for "Open Houses" trying to find that perfect home to meet their needs.

This Spring there is a greater incentive to buy or sell a home. It is a Tax Credit that can be utilized by both the the buyer and the seller. A single first time home buyer can earn up to $125,000,$250,000 for a couple and not owned a home in the past three years to qualify for the $8,000. A Seller must have occupied the home 5 out of the past 8 years and be purchasing another home to qualify for up to $6,500.

Contracts must be signed by April 30th 2010, and closed no later than June 30th to be eligible for these tax credits.

Optimum web exposure

Today I decided to add links to my Real estate web sites....
I have several so that I can optimize my exposure on the internet and achieve better placement on search results.

If you are looking to SELL your home, having a Realtor who has many non-company sites is a major plus. If the only internet exposure I had was @ Better Homes Realty my listings would only reach other agents and buyers who searched specifically for my company. Most Real Estate Companies have one central site bearing their name and that is it.

Better Homes realty owns approximately 1300 sites. Plus each individual agent has at least one of their own. Exponentially that is tremendous leverage when it comes to Internet leads.

This site enables Better Homes Agents to feature our listings and attache them directly on a site that bears their town name. For example Homesinbrick.com

kellya.listingbook.com . This site allows you to sign up for a free account that you control. You set the parameters of the homes you are interested in. Whether you are buying or selling you can choose to see homes in the areas you are interested in and whether or not they are available, under contract or sold. Great way for sellers to see their competition, and comparable properties on the market. Also, you can post notes or questions directly on the properties and get answers on those specific homes almost instantly. These messages are sent straight to my email so that I never miss an inquiry.
